WLO Dog Crate Sizes: Inside, Outside and Materials
We think you should know exactly what you are buying before you order, in numbers, not adjectives. So here is everything in one place.
- Inside floor: 524 sq in (Size 1), 929 sq in (Size 2) and 1,329 sq in (Size 3). The Gabled and the Pueblo share the same floor at each size.
- Inside height at the Gabled's peak: 23.8 in, 32.1 in and 38.6 in.
- Each house ships flat in one box, 9 in deep, weighing about 48, 79 or 110 lb.
- Walls are 16 mm EcoComposite panels, CNC-cut, fastened with metal bolts. Not MDF, not particle board.
- A fitted cushion, sized to each house, about 5.5 in (14 cm) thick, with a washable cover, comes in every box.

The walls
16 mm EcoComposite panels. Not MDF, not particle board. The panels are CNC-cut so every tab lands in its slot, and they fasten into the beams with metal bolts and internal teeth. They resist moisture: a spilled bowl is a wipe, not a stain. The materials guide explains what the other crate materials are.
The windows and the door
Clear acrylic windows keep the house open, so your dog can see the room. The door hangs on metal hinges and closes with a metal drop latch that drops into its metal keeper.
The cushion
Every house comes with a fitted cushion, sized to each house, about 5.5 in (14 cm) thick, with a washable cover. The fill weighs 3.3 lb (1.5 kg) in Size 1, 5.5 lb (2.5 kg) in Size 2 and 7.7 lb (3.5 kg) in Size 3. Covers come in Ivory, Gray, Black and Pink, and both the cover and the cushion can be replaced later.
Where it's made, and how we measure
Every house is cut, finished and packed to order in our own facility at 109 E 11th Ave, Lexington, North Carolina. Orders leave the workshop in 2 to 4 weekdays. You can also pick yours up at the workshop, Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 4 PM ET.

Questions
Is it wood?
No. The panels are a composite with a matte finish in four colors (Classic Walnut, Natural Oak, Pure White, Onyx Black). Older reviews may mention our earlier versions.
Why does the box weight matter?
It tells you how much material ships to you. Compare it with the listed weight of any crate you are considering.
Can I buy a single panel?
Panels are not sold one by one. If a panel is ever damaged, we offer a discount on a replacement house. Cushions, covers, hardware and acrylic sets are sold on the parts page.
